- VUWSA directs all Rep Groups to apply for a University Recreation grant first. However, VUWSA will provide Rep Groups with the opportunity to have these grant applications looked over and advised on by the Equity Officer and/or the Treasurer-Secretary. This assistance aims to make all Rep Groups successful in maximising funding from University Recreation.
- Rep Groups who wish to receive advice on their application are to contact the VUWSA Equity Officer and/or the Treasurer-Secretary via email or in person at the VUWSA office.
- A meeting between the VUWSA Equity Officer and/or the Treasurer-Secretary and Rep Group Executive members will then be arranged where the grant application can be discussed and developed.
- Advice can also be provided over email, without the Equity Officer and/or the Treasurer-Secretary and the Rep Group having to meet.
- If this option is preferred then a draft copy of the grant application should be sent in.
- The Equity Officer and/or the Treasurer-Secretary will respond with general and specific advice.
- Rep Groups are to apply to VUWSA 3 weeks before the Club Grants application cut-off date
The pool totals $3,500.
Out of this money VUWSA will allocate a maximum of $500 per Rep Group, until funding is exhausted for the year.
VUWSA will only grant money to a Rep Group where
- The Rep Group have been unable to get funding from a University Recreation grant, OR
- The Rep Group have indeed received an amount, but they anticipate outstanding costs that still won’t be covered by it
- VUWSA will not grant funds to support any social events that involve alcohol, are ticketed and or that create revenue.
